New job commitments have happened at unprecedented rates in the Clark County Community over the past 5 years. However, the full impact of new jobs is less if the jobs do not result in a population increase. The population will grow with an aggressive strategy to attract new and in-fill housing development throughout Clark County, as well as addressing downtown redevelopment, health and wellness, and outdoor living as amenities to housing.
Develop a "Welcoming Committee" for New Business Leaders/Executives
The only way to maximize the impact of business growth is to make certain its leadership feels welcomed and “at-home” in Clark County. Hitching up the welcome wagon and being intentional with appreciation is an essential factor in establishing a strong community connection with businesses. Additional funding will allow for the purposeful engagement of community leaders and equipping thing with resources to welcome new residents and businesses to Clark County.
